Stephanie Kinney is a Co-Founder and President of The Avid Group NYC. Ms. Kinney holds a BFA in Musical Theater from Millikin University. After years of performing around the country, Ms. Kinney sought out ways to share her passion for creativity and organization in more ways then just on a stage. She started off in the production side of events in Pittsburgh where she wrote, cast and coordinated theater revue shows for all ages. After leaving Pittsburgh, Ms. Kinney worked for a company in New Jersey where she organized productions in Las Vegas, Dallas and New York. With her permanent move to New York in 2002, she freelanced with one of New York’s leading entrepreneurs and helped with the coordination of events for Kohl’s with Daisy Fuentes and Cover Girl Cosmetics. Looking for the next challenge, she moved into the restaurant industry; she worked as the Event Director for a leading New York restaurant located in the heart of the theater district. Mixing her love for the stage and her aptitude for events, Ms. Kinney catered and organized events for such Broadway stars as Matthew Broderick and Julia Roberts. She also planned Post Tony Award show extravaganzas. Striving for more, Stephanie began working for a growing nightlife company where she oversaw the events department for a multi-million dollar hospitality group in New York City. Here she helped expand revenues through new business development and various marketing campaigns. Now, after years of successful business ventures and experiences, Ms. Kinney got her entrepreneurial itch which motivated her to start The Avid Group NYC.
